This little book is for musicians who practice solo free improvisation for the purposes of self-development and secular transience.
Written from my personal perspective the book examines an approach to free improvisation based on the study of Chinese aesthetics, an understanding of the principles of awareness and aural sight suggested by John Stevens in his book Search & Reflect and the use of complimentary activities such as spontaneous expression and automatic drawing in the pursuit of artistic efficacy.
Also included is a download link to audio improvisations created from the images in the book that reader can use to create their own drawings or paintings for further metaphysical investigation.
