"I've always hidden behind band names and aliases in the music I make. Wearing a mask makes it somehow easier to be someone else or a project a side to your personality that you wouldn't normally show. I thought that it was finally about time I raised my head above the parapet and present an album which bookmarks my 50th year with a plain statement about improvised guitar playing, me as a person and which documents where I'm at right now"
